I use it. This will probably be taboo on this site but I will post it anyways. While I see the advantages of indexing and that it is the easiest and best solution for most people, I prefer to have more control over things and investing in individual stocks. I am a dividend investor. I wont go into the pros and cons since that is already all been discussed many times over and generally starts the end of the discussion.
With that being said, the fee for the PCRA through Schwab is 4.95 per transaction, I wait until there is around 2500-5000$ in the account and then purchase the stock that is at the best current value or on my list.
The PCRA also allows me to sell covered calls on the stocks that I own and allows me to generate more income in the account with the tax liability if the option is called. I take that extra income and purchase more dividend stocks to compound my future income.
Hope that helps.
