I was desperate for feedback, and even offered a free book. But somehow that one post didn’t get to the Rockstar Feeds (Posted at 7:40 or so, today morning). If you are interested in a chance to win a copy of A Man Called Ove by Frederik Backman, please head over to http://www.countdowntotranquility.com/2017/12/the-three-best-books-i-read-this-year-and-my-first-free-giveaway/
Any one else has a problem with their post not appearing in the feeds here? If one of you could tell me what I did wrong, that would be awesome. That is my major source of incoming traffic, and I will probably end up with no one to give away my book to!
I cant help you with the posting issue, but I will say that Ove was a LOVELY book.
If you ever have a problem like this, contact @Steve and he can help you.
Looks like there was a small hiccup in the system. Should be better now: http://directory.rockstarfinance.com/blogs/1870/Countdown-to-Tranquility
For the record, we don’t usually feature giveaways on RSF (other than the ones we do ourselves).
Now if you were giving away a (nice) car, maybe we would.
@ESIMoney, @Steve Thanks for helping. I thought it was something I did.
@ESIMoney, I won’t do that again - until I have that car… Obviously, I wasn’t thinking. If there is a way for me to remove that, let me know. Or if you can, please do.
@jbold glad to know you liked it.
haha! No worries. I just didn’t want you to think you missed something from us because your feed wasn’t working.
You are doing me a great favor by having that feed. I wonder how any one got any visitors before you existed, or in other fields. Especially if you blog anonymously.
Well stay tuned – we have some more ideas coming up that will help a lot of bloggers get more visitors.
One thing that really helps get you visitors is if you spend time on other people’s blogs reading and commenting. I did that for a long time before I started my blog. And I also had a guest post on a big site because of one of those comments. This feed is great - but being involved in the community is a huge part of drawing in readers too. Good luck!
And I actually still spend more time reading other blogs than I do writing my own. It might not be the best method to “grow” my blog, but I feel pretty connected to the community.
Thanks, Vicki. That was valuable feedback. I do read a lot of the posts, but don’t comment as much. Have done a bit, but not enough for people to know me. Will get to it.
+1 to this comment!!!
@Vicki Me too! I spend so much time reading other people’s blogs. There is so much excellent and thoughtful content out there.
Yes, I agree too.
