I am listening to the audiobook Fooling Some of the People All of the Time by David Einhorn and it's incredible. I'm about halfway through and as someone who has been an equity sell side analyst and is now a debt investor (including middle market and private loans) I find it completely fascinating.
If you've ever heard of Greenlight Capital or had a financial advisor try to sell you on a BDC, it's worth a read! A little technical, but he does a decent job explaining the reporting and SEC dynamics.
Edit to add: The book focuses on Einhorn's story of shorting Allied Capital, a publicly traded BDC (Business Development Company).
