Do you use coupons, why, why not?
I am financially independent and I use some coupons, I like to think they are part of the reason I am FI. There are some places I shop where I will not buy without a coupon including Harbor Freight, Michaels, Hobby Lobby, Kohls, etc, Why, because that is how they play the game and I like to pay the lowest possible price for things.
How about when grocery shopping? I am not big into manufacturer coupons they seem like a hassle. However, I do sign up for rewards cards and I do utilize store coupons both digital and paper. Why, because on a recent shopping trip the bill was about $140, with sales and coupons I saved over $60 at the register plus I will save another $5 or so at the pump next time I fuel up...that is significant savings. I spend about 15 minutes a week to optimize my grocery shopping experience so the reward seems to be worth the time.
