Agreed that there are big differences between the US and UK. Healthcare, car loans and the ability to access pensions before the set age seem to be the biggest ones in terms of philosophy IME.
The thing that I spend most time building spreadsheets for is exactly how much I can put in my SIPP and not be destitute or dependent on work at 54, or 56, or 57, or 59, or 69 if the SPA keeps rising and the personal pension age follows. In the US this is far less of an issue.
