I’m 56 years old, with 14 years of early retirement experience.
Most annoying big-mouth financial advice? Well, Suze Orman has retired and people seem to be parting ways with Dave Ramsey on his investment advice. I don’t know anyone who invests like Jim Cramer. But Suze is age 65, Dave is 56, and Jim is 61.
I’m not sure that I find the advice of the younger crowd any more annoying than the older crowd. What I find most annoying (from all ages) is the behavioral psychology of recency bias coupled with the attitude of “This time it’s really different!” It reminds me of yet another aphorism: “We learn from history that we don’t learn from history.”
